LKBEN11592: How to show hidden files in finder on Mac OS X
Symptom
You would like to edit or look at a hidden file.
Cause
Lots of files starting with a dot are not shown by default.
Solution
A simple and easy way to show all hidden files in finder and revert to the default, can be done with a keyboard shortcut.
Shift + Command + .
You can think of this as: "hidden files start with a DOT, to see them use Shift + Command with a DOT."
This will show the hidden files and when typed again revert to the default finder setting.
Have fun.
