LKBEN11611: What is a CSP for MDM/UEM device management.
Symptom
You need to set some enterprise policies.
Cause
UEM device mangement is different from domain device mangement where you can use GPOs.
Solution
A CSP or Configuration Service Provider is part of the Windows Operating System used to enforce enterprise policies in a UEM (Unified Endpoint Mangement) environment.
In an active directory you use group policies to deliver configuration to the clients. In an MDM (Mobile Device Management), somtime also called UEM (Unified Endpoint Management) you use an alternative based on configuration service providers. (CSP)
A CSP will deliver a specified configuration, set by your IT department, to the systems.
