LKBEN11666: How to sign an application automatically with Xcode?

Symptom

You would like to sign your application during the build process in Xcode.

Cause

This is a configuration.

Solution

When you select the root project in Xcode you will get information about the project having the following Tabs:

  • Gerneral
  • Signing & Capabilities
  • Resource Tags
  • Build Settings
  • Build Phases
  • Build Rules

Here you select the Tab "Signing & Capabilities".

Under Signing you need to select the certificate you would like to use. After rebuilding you will find the binary signed with your certificate.

Have fun.
