Symptom

At boot time you see some cloud services which you do not want

Cause

Cloud-init is enabled by default but can be easily disabled

Solution

To disable the cloud services on Ubuntu Server you create the following a file called "cloud-init.disabled" in the /etc/cloud directory.

Check how long and which cloud services are started on your system:

systemd-analyze blame|grep -i cloud

Output will be something like:

cd /etc/cloud
sudo touch cloud-init.disabled

If you reboot your system and check angain, you will not find any cloud services anymore.

Hava fun.
