LKBEN11503: Who is connected to a windows share


Symptom

You need to know username and computername for every share of your server

Cause

This is important for an administrator before rebooting a server

Solution

To find out the users and computers connected to a share on the server you can use the following windows powershell command:

Get-WmiObject Win32_ServerConnection -ComputerName localhost| Select-Object ShareName,UserName,connectionid, ComputerName

This command will give a list of all the active users.
