Symptom

You don't know the version of Windows

Cause

This information is important depending on the usage of the system.

Solution

To find out which version of windows is installed on your system, you can run the winver command from a command line of just by typing <Windows>-R and type in winver.

The result will look like this:

Another possibility is to use Settings -> Info

The second part of the screen will show you something like this:
