LKBEN11626: How to put an icon on the desktops for all users of windows 10 computer.


Symptom

You need to make sure that every user using the computer has an icon or shortcut on the desktop.

Cause

This can be used for enterprise computers to inform every user of certain conditions.

Solution

To do this on a windows computer you can use the following path "c:\users\public\desktop". Everything what is stored here will be on the desktop of a logged on user.

Most of the time it is used to create shortcuts to documents or URLs. Here the full path:

c:\Users\Public\Desktop
