LKBEN11758: How to show socket information in linux?


Symptom

You need information about your ports on your system.

Cause

Troubleshooting.

Solution

To get more information about your open ports or sockets, you can use the ss command.

# -n will show numeric information
# -a will display all sockets
# -p will show the processes for the sockets
# -t will show only tcp sockets
ss -napt

More information can be found with:

# show more information
ss --help

# show the manual page
man ss
