LKBEN11542: Why can't I change the drive letter in MyDriveControl?
Symptom
You cannot change some settings like the drive letter or the path name.
Cause
This is by design when you are dealing with "Admin" preconfigured drives.
Solution
If the type of drive connection is "Admin", a normal user cannot change the Drive and Path. This is by design. To change these settings, you need to have local administrator rights.
The administrator can configure settings via a JSON file. This is located in the installation directory. A normal installation it will be c:\program files\lubby\MyDriveControl\MyDriveControl.json.
If your administrator has preconfigured these settings, you cannot change them. Please note, you have to add your password to the configuration to be able to use it.
A normal user can delete an admin entry with a right click and picking "delete" in the context menu. This can come in handy when an administrator changed the JSON file. If the entry is still preconfigured, it will be added at the next start. This is also by design.
For the UEM Project in SH: this software can be installed via the Workspace ONE intelligent HUB.
Have fun.
