LKBEN11585: Howto silently install an MSI
Symptom
You need to install an MSI silently. (same as quiet or unattended)
Cause
A manual installation is not possible.
Solution
The nice thing about the Microsoft Installer (= MSI) is the standardised parameters.
To install an application silently, you use the /qn parameters.
e.g.
msiexec /i "SetupMyDriveControl.msi" /qn
The parameters are as follows:
/q = quiet (the user does not have to enter anything)
n = no User Interface (= UI)
/i = install
